The Rainbow Finch species has been endangered since 2016, leaving the call for us to produce the right home for these birds. Research plays its part in this when making design choices. For instance these birds require a deep dark hole to simulate a hole in a tree they use for nesting, as well as many perches and hiding spots as a need to stay mentally active. But all of these features are worthless without a design style to bring it all together.
